River Avon

The navigable section of the River Avon, accessible from Bath boating Station extends from Pulteney Bridge to Bathampton Mill.

The River Avon is the 19th longest river in the UK at 75 miles (121 km) although there are just 19 miles (31 km) as the crow flies between the source and its mouth in the Severn Estuary.

The navigable section of the River Avon extends from Pulteney Bridge to to Bathampton Mill passing Pulteney Cruisers, The Boatman Restaurant & Cleveland Pools.

An abundance of wildlife can be found on the River Avon, including kingfishers herons, mallards, moorhens and if you’re really lucky you may spot an otter.

You can meander you way up to Bathampton to find the Bathampton Mill or The Old Mill, where you can stop for lunch or a drink.
